Called “Mystery Red” and descended from one of the oldest tea cultivars in the Wuyi region, Qi Dan enduringly remains one of the best expressions of the region’s spicy, minerally redolent finishes (famously known to develop on the tongue even after the last sip)
Qi Dan’s trademark aftertaste with a straight froward kombucha ferment. The tea’s translation via fermentation develops a uniquely deep acid profile which both enhances and softens the sharpness of the original tea.
Deeply resinous, our ferment expresses a deep volcanic character with notes of plum, hardwoods, and baking spice with a luxurious, coating mouthfeel.
